These episodes are part of “Relationship Workout for Men,” a podcast dedicated to helping men be intentional in choosing a better partner and being a better partner to the person they choose.

Fixing and growing your relationship(s), broken down in to seven man-sized bites.

Episode 1 — Love is an emotion. Love is a verb.

Key theme: We think of love as an emotion. However, love also has an action/choice/commitment component. It’s not just how we feel about our relationship. It’s how we think about it, and act on it.

Episode 2 — Transitioning from “me” to “we”.

Key theme: Commitment is necessary for long term success. What commitment do we make on first contact? First date? When deciding to cohabit? When married? When should we break our commitment?

Episode 3 — Building trust and commitment.

Key theme: What are the building blocks for trust and commitment? How do we put them into place?

Episode 4 — Invest in your relationship.

Key theme: Your relationship works like a bank account. You only get back what you put in.

Episode 5 — Pay attention.

Key theme: Women are not as mysterious as we we’ve been told they are. If there is something you want to know, ask. Then, pay attention to what she says in response.

Episode 6 — Grant yourself space to be yourself.

Key theme: There are unspoken expectations that men be stoic in the face of adversity. In truth, none of us are invulnerable. Are you being the you that you think you should be? Or are you being the real you?

Episode 7 — Talk about sex.

Key theme: You can’t always get what you want. But if you try, sometimes, you get what you need.
